i might be taking this in the future because my ac1 has shot up almost 3 points from my last test. i am already on the highest dose of metformin. the side effect i am most concerned about is stomach paralysis. i have lots of medical issues including HCM, afib, nerve damage, and ibs-d with foods not digesting properly. any input to appease my fear of taking this drug? my dr just says i will be fine.....but i am afraid i wont be fine! i read the entire insert and scare myself.

David, how do you feel about diabetics getting run over by rich people, who want to lose weight and can pay full price for these drugs, that are making them not available for diabetics that the drugs were developed for, and that the drugs are a crucial part of our therapy who can no longer get them because of shortages? I would love to see at least one or two of the many UA-cam doctors who are talking about these drugs, and spinning up the demand for them, talk a bit about all the off label prescribing that is making diabetics have to chase these drugs from pharmacy to pharmacy, and frequently change dosages or completely change drugs or go completely without any because people are getting these drugs that should not. There is only one of these meds that is approved for weight loss.

I just been put on it? And just took my 1st dose. I've heard and been told to take . 75 mg. My concern is I haven't discussed anything about diet or exercise even though I'm on no walking or moving on my foot due to amputation surgery . I'm in the process of researching chair exercises. I do think a dietician should come along with Ozimpic to get the full effect of the medication weather I'm right or wrong that's were a dietician or medical professional comes in at.

This information really helped me. I didn't know how to take the med or anything and couldn't get help to learn. I was just told it's easy just do it. ( I felt so dumb) So I looked on youtube and after 3 other video's I found Sugar High. Thanks so much you explain so well I can use this medication correctly. I do have Nausea when I went from the .25 dose to the 1mg dose( I don't know why I skipped the .05 but I will ask) That is when the nausea started and it was bad, I don't vomit easy and did have 2 bouts of it but it seems to have tapered off though I still have nausea most of the time. Though it is not as bad. I am not gagging all the time now. Thanks so much for the information and help. I also found out this med is costly after 3 months I am now paying 268 dollars per month. I am in the doughnut hole. rats.

Great advice from this doctor, everything he is saying is true. I have been on it for about 16 months, 7mg from the start. I’m 67 and was diagnosed as T2, 10 years ago. I’m still on Metformin, and a Keto diet (low carb) and exercise to help me lose 40 lbs. I have lost 20 more lbs on Rybelsus, plus I have found what this doctor is saying is true about heart health. I now micro dose my BP & statin meds, and feel great. I need to lose 20 more lbs to be at my goal weight and get my waist under 35”. Negative about the drug-if I happen to over eat-I have experienced vomiting & diarrhea maybe 3 times the whole time taking it. Makes me think twice about eating & drinking certain foods 🤔

I use the G6 myself on my thigh, and it works really well. But where did you get the idea that it's 15mm thick? I only measure it to be 8mm. The reason I haven't switched to the G7 is because it's fairly common knowledge that it has a VERY poor range, with a decidedly poorly designed antenna. Don't you hear about this in conversations with your patients?

I've been on Ozempic for 7 weeks - at .25mg I was fine, but after a month I was increased to .5mg and it has been awful. I haven't had a full night's sleep since the month of May (it's June 20th) - crazy insomnia where it's like I'm electrified, not dead tired or jet lagged. And horrible muscle cramping in my back and left thigh - mostly on the left side. My endocrinologist keeps saying those aren't the expected side effects, but it's still happening - I'm in pain and not sleeping. I've also vomited once, and had regular nausea. So I've stopped Ozempic, hoping that after a couple of weeks I can get back to my baseline and no side effects. I've lost 13-15 pounds (the scale hasn't shown me the 15 pound loss except for one day). A year ago my A1c was 10.3. I made huge strides to change my eating etc and it came down to 8.2 in September, then my last one in May was 7.4. I understand that my insomnia and muscle pain may not be the normal side effects, but it's still happening and it's debilitating. I've found groups on Reddit and Facebook with people talking about this, and I found a study at NIH that talks about the sleep loss: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10669484/ I'm hoping that I might be able to go back on Ozempic and maybe just stick with the .25mg dose. A huge help I've seen has been going grain free - which is rough, but it's made huge changes to my blood sugar levels. I've also been using a continuous glucose monitor for just over a year, and that has been a huge game changer and I absolutely recommend that to any T2D (hopefully if you're T1D you're already using one). Seeing how your body processes sugars and carbs has been so enlightening! I'd always been told that it would take roughly 30 minutes for carbs to hit my blood sugar. Watching my CGM, it's more like 60-90 minutes for me - so I need to wait before eating and look to see if my sugars have been affected.

I have been on Ozempic for one week. I radically changed my diet eating less and more vegetables, always with a protein. Lost 10 lbs 243 to 233. And to my surprise felt better than I have in a long time. Because I had my gall blather removed years ago I’ve struggled with dailey diarrhea. Last week my bathroom events have been cut in half all but one day solid.

I handled that with a daily dose of MiraLAX so that worked out OK. I will be starting those next week and I hope starting at 1.0 mg so I look forward to seeing how that works out. Thank you for your solid explanation on Ozempic. i was one that had a problem with the dosage ( with the 1s all the way down) very confusing. Since I was coming to Ozempic because the side affects from Mounjaro were debilitating. On it first the body aches for so severe. Once the dose was in the next two days was hell. I couldn't move it was flu like body aches times 100. I continued using the dose monthly as prescribed. My body never got use to it. I was told to take the shot with a full stomach etc. I had to advocate for myself and say look it's been 4 months and 3 out of 7 days I'm laid up. Finally, my doctor switched me to ozempic. Today there are no side effects and can go about my days without pain. That brings the question: What was in the mounjaro that's not in ozempic? Lastly, why is my stomach talking to others in the room. It's so loud, does an antacid work? Thanks again Ellen
